About

I am Michelle Glatt, a middle school librarian in central Illinois. I am also a member of the Steering Committee of the Rebecca Caudill Young Reader’s Book Award, and I write reviews for Library Media Connection.

My joie de vivre is “pushing books” to others as much as I can, wherever I can. This blog allows me to reach a wider audience than the 1600 or so students at my two schools.

  1. Loved your list for the Nerdy Book Club. You mentioned one of my all-time favorites, The Haunting of Alaizabel Cray. Reading it is like peeling an onion, layers upon layers of moods, meanings and surprises. But, could they have chosen a worse cover? (I always mention this when I booktalk it.

  2. Thanks, Suzanne. I have seen two other blue covers for the book that haven’t satisfied me either. It’s a good thing I love the book so much that my students catch the enthusiasm and overlook the lackluster cover.
