  1. I love that books and reading are a center of the “giving” in our house, too. Every one of us got a book of some sort — just like your family — and a tradition from my wife to me every year is the Best Non-Required Reading collection (culled and curated by high school students, under witty guidance of Dave Eggers and Valencia 826). Books are gifts that last, physically, mentally and emotionally (if the right book).
    Take care
    Kevin
PS — I am commenting here as part of my 50 comments at 50 blogs over 50 days for the #nerdlution, so thank you for writing and sharing today.

    1. How could I have several quarterly McSweeney’s and other assorted bits and NOT have heard of The Best Non-Required Reading Collection?!? You, sir, have determined the destination of some of my Christmas money! Thanks–truly! 🙂

Also, what a cool #nerdlution goal! I may have to adopt it for #nerdlution2: electric boogaloo….
